Stay With Me - My first established site on the web. It opened sometime in June of 2005 and closed December 7, 2006. At one time, I was really into making fan videos and I needed a place to compile them all together because I was submitting them to awards sites and such. Thus, Stay With Me was created. It was hosted on about a million different servers - or so it seemed - including the classics like FreeWebs and Bravenet. I will say that Stay With Me was at one time my 'baby'. I learned a lot by having the site open and I do miss it. But, I desperately needed a change and I'm glad I closed it when I did. Scattered Emotions - A multi-fandom music video awards website. What a mouthful! Like I said, I was once into video-making. I used to submit my videos into awards sites in hopes of winning awards. One day, I think it was over Christmas Break in 2005, I decided to open an awards site of my own. Scattered Emotions was fun while it lasted, I suppose. However, the process got kind of relentless after awhile and I ended up closing the site on August 18, 2006. Blue Skies & Mixtapes - A One Tree Hill multimedia website. This site was supposed to be a fansite-ish place where you could download full episodes of One Tree Hill. I honestly have no idea when I opened/closed this site... That's how short-lived it was. I just remember loving the name, though, because I thought it was pretty darn creative. Lately, I've actually been thinking about re-opening this site up again. I don't know if I ever will, but there is that small possibility of it happening. Live And Breathe Designs - My first designs website offering layouts, coding, and link back buttons for free. I opened this site on July 18, 2006 after many people were commenting on my layouts at other sites I maintained at that time. It went well for a while, but people eventually started taking advantage of my free services. LAB Designs closed on January 7, 2007. Looking back, I obviously realize that my designs weren't anything special at all. However, having a designs site did give me a ton of experience and allowed me to better my skills, and now I'm able to make a small profit by designing for others. Dance With Me - A fansite dedicated to Brooke & Lucas from One Tree Hill. I opened this site right after the Season Three finale of One Tree Hill aired and for quite some time, it was the only Brooke/Lucas source on the web. Eventually, other sites opened and continued to grow and expand and I just couldn't keep up. After going without updating for months, I decided to close the site on January 7, 2008, just one day before the One Tree Hill Season Five premiere. Closing site was definitely difficult, but it was also a relief, in a way. I'm hoping that I'll have the time, patience, and dedication to re-open the site sometime in the future, but I don't know if that will happen. Keep your fingers crossed! More Like Beautiful - A fansite dedicated to Brooke & Chase from One Tree Hill. I opened this site on January 29, 2007 before Chase even appeared on the show, as odd as that is! I saw the promotional episode stills for Season Four and just fell in love with the couple right off the bat. MLB was the only Brooke/Chase site online, which was great, but as time progressed I just lost interest in the couple. I closed the site on January 20, 2008. Fanatical Designs - My second (and maybe last?) designs site. It was opened on March 9, 2007 and was closed on March 20, 2008 due to inactivity on my part. I lost my inspiration which then lead to me closing the order form and going on hiatus, so it was time to let go of the site. I enjoyed having it online for the time that it was active! It was nice to experience making profit for my designs as well as helping out others. |
